Wow, I didn't realize there were so many badasses roaming these boards. Waving is so newbalicious.
As for the safety argument...only you know if it's safe in that moment to wave. I wave most of the time because I know I have the second to one hand (or no hand as I sometimes give the double armed wave) the bars. Other times it is not safe to wave and I don't.
Thanks for the laffs, Opie.

I often wave with both hands. Really freaks out the cars around me. Helps clear the area as they must think I'm drunk and give me lots of space.

They sure are...especially when they don't recognize obvious sarcasm when they see it.
More sarcasm based on actual events: One should risk everything to wave to a fellow "bro" on a Harley.....even if it's across five lanes of heavy traffic. (I've seen it many times, thus my sarcasm.)
And humor is not lost on me, sir. I'm the funniest SOB on this forum.

I wave at kids all the time, they seem to love it.
I'll even wave at myself when passing a glass building!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm on my way to Texas to wave at every hot chick riding a Harley.
