Test ride them and see which one fits you the best. It's the only way to find out.

Default welcome from a Heritage rider

Few things - Welcome to the club! Now the bike.. I had a xl1200c and honestly the bikes are super nimble especially compared to a Softail. Either of your picks are fine rides and I suspect will be very similar. I still suggest you may like a Dyna Bob or Lowrider. Too me, there big twin Sportsters.. AND great bikes too..

The Slim is the lowest bike HD makes. That would be a good choice.

Low weight or low seat height do not automatically make a motorcycle easy to handle. IMO, you're smart to be looking at a Softail, because they have a lower center of gravity than the other families. They generally have a lower seat height, too. Between the two your looking at, they're not all that heavy either. I'd bet you'll be more comfortable on the Slim. The seat is a tad lower & the Breakout's longer front forks may make it a bit more difficult to handle at slower speeds. But ChickOnaChain has it right. Ride several different models. One of them will sing to you. Have fun and be safe!

I would suggest that you sit on and if possible, test ride the ones that feel the best to you and then choose which one feels the best to you and is best suited to your riding style, good luck.

A lot of ladies I know like the Deluxe. Low, and they look pretty darn sweet to me.

Good idea. No offense to the men here but a woman's view of riding is sometimes different than a man's and maybe the opinions of other women riders would do her more good, at least that has been my experience the few times that I have been around women riders, they tend to understand each other better.

Congrats and Welcome! I agree with Lauren...come over to the Queens board https://www.hdforums.com/forum/the-q...kers-only-139/ We've all been through the process of finding what fits us and may be able to pass along some tips and tricks we've learned.
