Default Cost of a Dyno Tune

Good morning guys What are you guys paying for a DynoTune. I found a guy in Burlington On. Canada, he wants $400.00. I have a PowerVision tuner, seems like a fairly simple tune. I have tuned with the PV but it seems lean. Am I getting skinned??? Thanks

At my local shop a dyno tune is $365 with most tuners, but $395 with a PowerVision.

In my opinion don't shop for the lowest price, go with the guy who can tune your bike the best with the tuner you have.

First question is why do you think you need a Dyno tune ?
You have a Harley Davidson not a race bike . If it is running lean you have the tuner to add fuel yourself use it (for free) .

I got curious and looked. After my motor was rebuilt last year, my Indy only charged me $250 for a Dyno.

Seems steep to me, plus you have a Power Vision. Test some things out before you give some guy 400 bucks to use your own Power Vision to tune your bike...

I found that the AFR's (Air Fuel Ratios) from the auto tune were way to lean for me. I opened the tune in WinPV and changed the cells to 13.7, saved it, uploaded it to my PV1, and flashed the ECM and it worked perfect. Motor runs at least about 20 degrees cooler once I richened it up.

I got mine dyno tuned in Bangor and they charged a flat rate of 285 US regardless of how long it took them, but usually 3-4 hours to tune on the dyno.So yeah,400 seems a bit steep.

The very BEST tuner in all of Florida is Doc's performance. He suggests TTS system. $450 last quote he gave me. I had a local guy trained by and thumbs up from Doc...same $450.

I've seen $310.00 to $500.00, the trick is, finding someone who is really worth that, let alone know what their doing!!!

Chris Rivas sounds familiar to me, even way up here in No Cal.. Where is he out of?
