The $1 Harley

Can I suggest you pick up another fender to hash up and put all the stock stuff away somewhere, it's worth money now and down the road when the dinky fender trend fads that stock stuff will be like gold. Trust me on that one , those were only made 2 years 82 & 83 be a crying shame to trash it and your resale will be considerably higher with all the OEM parts to go with even if they aren't on the bike.

Values on the shovelheads are on the rise and unmolested ones are not common anymore. That model was the first of very popular long lived style, out here you can't find one under $6500 and those been beat on. Something to think about.

Step away from that fender! (please) Don't hack up the OEM parts on that bike. Plenty of hacked up fenders out there for you to pick up.

Agreed, get a used set of tins, chop it the way you want and kept the collectable stuff in the garage. You will thank Twisted down the road. This is a very rare bike. Being able to put it back to stock or have the parts to do so will pay ten fold down the road, or in your case 10,000 fold.

Got an email saying all my parts will be arriving tomorrow but I will be working a 48hour shift at the firehouse. It will be killing me not to play in the garage.
