I'm not to that point yet. I'm going To pull the plugs, which were black, and make sure everything rotates. Although, they said it ran when they put it away, but I've heard that before.

Put a healthy drip pan under her the first time you start it, check ***** in the oil pump have a habit of letting oil seep by when they sit filling the crankcase & breather ports , she'll probably puke some when you fire it up .

I'm hoping that redoing all the fluids will help prevent that. We'll see.

It won't help the first time so be expecting it , after the bike runs a few times and you run it regular you should be good to go from then on . These older ones are not like the twinkies keep that in mind .

Great buy, you can't beat a FXR. Invest in a HD Service Manual. Check on line.

I know a lot of guys like the FXR but if it was me? I'd drop that motor and tranny in a rigid frame and never look back!

edit: well, on 2nd thought, I'd run it just as she sits! dirt and all
