I have the Scavenger System (bought it several years ago - used on ebay for about 1/2 the cost). I may use it once a year or every other year. It definitely gets the "dirty oil" out.

Needed - no Used when spare time is available - like now.

Neighbor borrows it occassionally as well.

I think the idea is, if the scavenged or near completed emptied one is 4 quarts and the regular oil change removes and replaces 3.5, then one half quart remains in the motor. I think the idea has merit, but I'm not sure it's enough to worry about.
