If you did not have time to do it right the first time, how much time will you have when you do it next?

Try using some brake cleaner (NOT BRAKE FLUID!) and the wifes toothbrush to clean the powder coated engine parts.

Try a lil mother polish if that dont do it use 000 or higher (0000 or 00000) steal wool. I dont like to use harh chemicals near chrome or paint. Yes maybe a lil elbow grease and time and effort

I would only use Easy-Off on my Kenmore. The stuff is too caustic for Harley's.
Acetone works real good to remove the boot marks, plastic bags on the chrome pipes.
Good luck trying to get the stains off.

ultra fine steel wool, and a little machine oil also works...Easy-Off is acid

A buddy of mine did the same thing. We sprayed a mixture of simple green and water on it. Damn stuff came right off. I use Simple Green to clean my bike all the time. I havent seen any problems with it?
