living in austin, i've never been to the rally. anyone heading down there tomorrow? don't really wanna go alone, but i'm not taking the wife!

 

Maybe living there would make it not so bad but I went once and even stayed with family but I'll never go again. Austin in the summer is hot and not a good time for a rally. And everything is too damn expensive, I mean damn, their beer prices are similar to a pro sporting event.

 

Good weather this weekend but I'm sticking to the mini events all over the hill country. Rileys on the Backbone is having their annual Not ROT Rally today. Vendors, live music, cheap cold beer, good food...they do it every year during the rally, get some pretty good crowds there. Plenty of other spots in the hill country doing the same type of thing.

 

yea i think i'm skipping the expo center stuff and just going to head down to congress at least to check it out a bit.

 

I forgot it was this week end. I only like a couple of hours on the grounds at about 10 pm til midnight. Its buck wild. Other than that I get bored fast and want to ride.

 

Agreed on everything too damned expensive there. . I'm only 140 miles from Austin, but no way I'm going.

 

Too hot ... too expensive .. traffic blows .. staying home and having a few friends over for beer & bbq .. will check out a couple of places away from Austin tho
