syn oil in trans ?
has anyone noticed if you use mobil 1 synthetic gear oil in your tranny it slips a little. or is it just me? over the winter i changed all my fluid and changed my stock clutch lever and bracket to chrome. so either i don't have my clutch adjusted correctly or the syn oil is making it slip. ?????????????

RE: syn oil in trans ?
The transmission oil being synthetic would not make anything slip. Some synthetic gear oils however or not recommended for the primary case which is where your clutch resides. The wrong oil in the primary could affect clutch performance.
From what I gather, Harley's Syn-3 is OK for the primary case.

I use Amsoil synthetic in my engine, primary and tranny, and have never experienced any slipping, even when bouncing the the revs off the limiter!
Cheers!
