RE: Cops Execute Marine, Pagan Member
I have had the good fortune to be on the inside of a number of police departments, big and small, local and federal. Not being a LEO myself, I feel this gives me an insightfull perspective. Here's my perspective:
- The majority of LEO's on the street are good people. I like most of them I have dealt with, and some are my good friends. But I have met some that turn my stomach.
- "Hating" LEO's is a fad. Very few people actually do. They like to say they do because it makes them feel tough. But when the fat hits the fire, who do they call first?
- In every department, there are a large number of bad apples. Some rotten to the core, and some just slightly bruised. But there are more than the average person thinks there is.
- The higher in rankthey get, the worse they are. The cops that can be trusted the least are in HQ. Right behind them is any special team: narcotics, vice, SWAT.
- When a bad apple does the wrong thing to an innocent citizen, there is a veryactive mechanism to cover it up. It's practiced, thought out, and effective. Why? Because they do it often enough to be good at it.
- If the police force punishes an officer, they admit to misconduct. Admitting to misconduct opens them up for a huge lawsuit. Which they will lose. A major function of the police force in any town is to collect revenues. If they get sued for $10M, they can't write enough tickets or seize enough property, to pay for their own upkeep. The patrolman knows this, and the head shed knows this.
So, with those thoughts in mind, I believe this story. This guy was murdered. And the murderer(s) will never come to trial, much less be punished. Most of them will probably be promoted.

Something I would like to add.....the point you brought up about "Who you gonna call first?" well, if it were not for the desire to uphold the law, it would not be the cops. What few times I have needed the law, they have failed miserably. A few years back, I suspected that someone might have tried to break in my house, and called the cops. It took 1 hr and 15 minutes for them to get there and altogether, six calls to 911. I finally asked the 911 operator if it would be ok to shoot the guy and she could just send the coroner, as I doubt there would be any need to "Rush" him to the scene.

Remember when it was "innocent until proven guilty?" Billy Lane got more love than the cops and he hasn't done **** for society. The truth will eventually come out. As I've said before....three sides. There's the cop's side, the author's side, and then the truth. If he was tased three times, he's either on the floor in which case forensics will show he was shot while he was down or he was a freak of nature that didn't go down. If it's ruled murder, then they'll be punished. Hell, a cop ran a red light in Mesa while chasing someone, hit a car going through the intersectionand got 10 years in prison. These cops will pay to if they are, in fact, guilty. Time will tell, not a reporter.
P.S. Everyone has a story about how the cops took too long when they called. Cops can never go fast enough to please the guy that needs one, nor slow enough to please the one that doesn't. If anyone feels that badly about cops, they can have their sister call them when they're being beaten, raped, robbed, etc. instead of the police. Good luck society. Moral being don't think these 50 stories a year set the standard for the million+++ calls a year police handle. Good news doesn't sell media like bad cop stories sells.

i have been reading this about this since it happened Definite fact he was tasored 3 times before being shot to death. Now all you LEO know that your pretty much helpless after being tasored 3 times. they were tring to say he was going to be arrested then after searching his house they said he was a person of interest

AFA the story, I cannot say what really happened, as the editorializer of that piece lionized a guy throughout, attempting to poetically villify the law officers throughout. And anyone that thinks the Pagans have only the societal % of troublemakers in it has been smoking meth far too long.

"Anyone that thinks LEO don't take care of their own is kidding themselves."
If you are brought in for questioning, and request a lawyer....and they keep asking questions anyway....how am I supposed to feel good about the PD?
Are you telling me that all those cops there couldn't arrest him without haivng to use deadly force? Just pulling the gun out of holster creates an enormous amount of paperwork. a taser gun and 2+ cops couldn't subdue him? My brother is a cop, and subdues guy's singlehandedly all the time. Even took down a Bandido....which was only possible with 3 other guy's.....1%'ers don't like cops, I guess....

No, actually we can't. I've already locked a 1%er and LEO bashing thread today. I'm about to lock a thread bashing Texans and this one has very little life left in it. I'm sure the above situation will be taken care of in court. If the cops are guilty then they should be prosecuted. I just don't take any story (video or no video) at face value and start pointing fingers.
