More ponies with samson true duals
Samson True Dual DO PRODUCE POWER INCREASES! Here is a dyno-sheet to prove it. Remember, that whenever a new exhaust system is installed, a remap of the system (fuel injection) or a comprehensive tune-up (carburetor equipped motorcycles) is the best way to get the maximum benefit from the new pipes. Note that with the Samson True duals installed and tuned as seen on this dyno sheet a profound increase in both horsepower and torque was the result. AND, they look mighty fine at the same time. Good looks, more power and torque, what more can ya ask for?

I don't know who Buck Lovell is, but that chart is one of ours.
Here's the Rest of the Story-
That chart represents the difference between a bone stock 103B and the same bike with an Outlaw HiFlow 425 Air Cleaner, and Samson True Duals AND Thunder Torque Inserts installed in the TD's to help with the torque.
The other difference is a Generic Power Vision Tune...no dyno time or auto-tuning.
All these work together to give a nice solid improvement over stock. Below is a partial break-down of what components added what to the overall improvement.
Chart showing bone stock and bone stock with Outlaw HiFlow Air Cleaner from DK Custom.
Here is a chart showing just the difference between the True Duals, and the True Duals with Thunder Torque Inserts from DK Custom.
The Power Vision Tune helped, the Reusable Oil filter helped, and in the end it was a respectable improvement for a Stage 1.
Would it have been better with some other exhaust? Yes, there are other systems that will produce even better power, but the Samson TD's with the Thunder Torque Inserts do well, and besides that...that is the look I wanted on that bike.

I was looking at the Samson website for true duals for my carb 88B engine under my HC 2003 Anniversary model. Only small diameters and fishtails. No 4" monster mufflers suitable for a 88B carb engine. And that is exactly what I like. Indeed for injection and after 2005 (if I remember well) but not for the 88B carb. Some months ago they were available on the website but taken out of the program? Who can inform me about this?
