Bored --and Just wondering -

I only wash mine thoroughly after I get caught in the rain, or if it gets heavily dusted/trashed while in the parking lot at work on a windy day -

Mostly, I keep it clean with a clean/damp sponge and wax it all the time, so it looks showroom-- but since it's been a while, I think it's due for a wash..especially in the nooks and crannies.....When do you wash your bike?

 

Primarily I wash mine on the weekends, regardless of what happens during the week. Of course, I don't have time every weekend, so I can go months without washing the poor girl.

 

I wipe my bike down after a long ride or a couple of short ones but I give it a good wash about once a month. I love the look of a nice clean bike.

 

Since I like shiny stuff I keep it clean. I like clear shiny paint and clean corrosion free chrome and aluminum. It takes me several hrs to clean it, but that is part of owning a Harley to me, just another part of the experience. Plus it gives me another reason to be in the garage drinking beer.

wash at least once a month, wipe downs are daily.

 

Once a week, I take it to the detail shop, it is only $5 bucks (shampoo, and compressed air/micro-fiber drying).

A long time ago I used to wash it... but became lazy about that, too perfectionist that meant a good couple of hours to get the job done [&o]

Only when the engine compartment gets too dusty or after a muddy rain. Otherwise I just spray on some Purple Slice detail spray wipe it down and go.

Down here in SW Florida it hasn't rained in several months, so it doesn't require much to keep it clean.
