It has to be real bad for me to wash it, dealer does it after they service it so it gets it at least once of twice a year. Now i do harley gloss the hell out of it regularly.

Just washed my bike yesterday with one of them bike warm air dryers! (they do work!!)... also blew a lot of cobwebs/dust/ and annoying stryofome peantus from under my workbench in my garage heh...
Now gota find a day I am not going to ride to treat my leathers(saddlebags/seat/console)

Since I like shiny stuff I keep it clean. I like clear shiny paint and clean corrosion free chrome and aluminum. It takes me several hrs to clean it, but that is part of owning a Harley to me, just another part of the experience. Plus it gives me another reason to be in the garage drinking beer.

Withhose -- not so often I think once or twice every 6 months or if it is really bad. We have hard water and it is a pain in the butt to get anyspots off.
Mostly I use a damp cloth, and a cleaning/waxing product like S100...so far so good.
Oh I am bad about keeping it clean, it definately must shine....but riding it is why I bought it so if I don't have time...
Since you let me I choose the last two....I only wash it what it is dirty but I clean it all the time.

Light dust I don't mind. Lemon Pledge and Windex will take care of that. When it's dirty I will wash it. Usually after a road trip or if nothing else about every two-three weeks.

As needed. Mine is a daily ride. I often wash the bugs off of the windsheild, but not the entire bike. Normal summer deal is about every two-three weeks.

Use S100 on it twice a year then wax it. After every ride I use distilled water on a soft cotton rag and wipe it down with a microfiber colth. The distilled water will not leave water spots. Wax it at least once a month.
