Is it against the law to lane split in your state and we're you doing so? If so, pay up, you got caught, how many times didn't you????

If you did it, and its not leagal in your state, pay the fine and let it be a reminder. No matter if legal or not, it is very dangerous. I thought only kids on crotch rockets did that.

Personally I don't lane split, but if I did and happened to get caught I would say bike was overheating and needed to keep moving to keep it cool and hope that it may get a little understanding from the judge.

I assume you are in New York, and this is what is shown for the state statue dealing with lane splitting;
"§ 1252. Operating motorcycles on roadways laned for traffic (b) The operator of a motorcycle shall not overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken. (c) No person shall operate a motorcycle between lanes of traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles."
Looks like you got caught in the act, so I'm not sure what kind of defense you could come up with.
Might as well just pay the fine....

If it's legal I do it , but veeery carefully. I don't trust cagers at all . If it was illegal in your state, what can you say as a defense . Pay the ticket and move on.Mark..
