Well if it was done then I dont notice a big difference in lag of loading everytime a link is clicked or thread.

They should ditch ASP/Mircosoft... try apache/PHP and a good database server

Half the links to sponcers don't work.. more than half.. keeps comming up with:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Myfirst computer was a Commodore 128 with a 1200 baud modem. I remember spending hours and hours dialed into Quantam Link*.

* Later renamed to "America Online"

I was in 8th grade when we had Radio Shack TRS 80 computers, with cassette tape for loading programs....Green screen.

Friend of mine had a commodore Vic-20 (5K Ram)

Brother had a Commodore 64.

Used to Have an Apple IIe with an amber monitor....was really a neat little computer! Kind of wish I had her now!

Currently on a "turd"...a $500 Wal-Mart computer....an H/P 133 MHz, 128 RAM, computer which I am currently using...all I do is e-mail and surf, works for me!

And to think that I got chastised for my rather directcomments regarding this problem. Probably won't get any apologies from the MOD SQUAD, but have some gratification in knowing I was right...it wasn't my computer after all....

Not sure what your referring to but you have never been chastised by this MOD. I have suffered right along with the rest of you. The fact is the servers have not been changed because of the copy failures and other technical difficulties. They are gonna try again shortly and hopefully with a better outcome.

As far as the forum speeding up can't tell you what was done one way or another. To our understanding nothing could be done until the server change took place. If you have increased speed/performance thank your lucky stars.

Apologize for what Billk? Took some time to research your past posts and here’s what I found in regards the site slowness issues.

In this thread:

You posted the following:

I think the Moderators should delete this thread...that way we won't have the problem anymore.

As we are working on improving the speed of the site, as well as making sure that Comcast is allowing their users to view this site, we need to know if anyone is still having problems with the site lagging/not loading... especially if you are a Comcast user and are unable to view the site.

If you are having problems getting TO THE SITE, or if you are having heavy lagging problems, pleaseemailAmanda and be as specific as possible.

email address is *xxx zombie edit*

Thank you.

Looks like where back up to speed
Maybe you, but not me. Got an email from Amanda to check my routing, etc. A bunch of BS...standard computer geek answer...not us. WTF, you are the only site I am having problems with. Get off your dead, defensive a$$ and do your job. Fix it.
What you don't seem to realize is, we're regular posters like you...we're not paid, we do this volunteer-wise...we don't work for HDForums in any type of capacity than we volunteered to try and make this place as great as it is.

Still confused as to what we should be apologizing for.
