Seat Rework While You Wait at Stroker's in Dallas
I have been considering options for a while on what to do with the seat on my RKC. I ride some pretty long distances and more than once I have felt the burn of the stock seat. As a stop gap I bought a sheepskin and while it helped keep the seat cooler it didn't really solve the problem of the burn. I considered sending the seat off to MCC, purchasing a different seat but what I really wanted to try was a gel pad insert.
I knew there was a guy in Dallas that would rework my seat with new gel very reasonably but when I talked to him on the phone he said if I could come to Stroker's on Saturday he'd have it done in about 45 minutes. I thought what the heck I'll try it and rode over to Stroker's today. For those of you who have never been to Stroker's it is a unique place. Picture a bike rally every weekend, complete with vendors and you'll be close. Open bar, lotsa scantily dressed girls and some really gorgeous bikes to look at.
I met Aric (Eric) the owner of Boss Hogg Custom Motorcycle Seats at his pop up and he said that he would be done in 45 minutes. I had promised to buy him a beer when I spoke to him on the phone earlier so after I took the seat off for him I wandered over to the bar area to get that cold drink for Aric. By the time I got back with his drink, he already had the cover off the seat and was getting ready to work on the foam. He appreciated the drink and continued his work as I wandered off to look at the bikes and girls.
Had a yummy burger, couple of cold drinks and I talked to several people about various things and went back to get my bike. Aric had it all back together, the seat looked like it had never been off but holy cow, when I sat on it I was amazed. I rode around for two hours today to try it out and I think it is a real improvement, one that I would recommend to anyone.
So if you're in Dallas, need your seat reworked visit Aric at Boss Hogg and save your ***. By the way, the front and back rework was $130.00.

Thanks for the review. From his website "We are located at 3830 Dilido Road, Dallas Texas 75228
Open Hours Mon-Fri 10am till 6pm Saturday 10am till 3pm
Closed Sunday". I think I would just mail mine in. Not sure I want to go down Dilido Road.
