Default heres a stupid question???

good evening Riders,

I went to put some air in my tires and apparently the air compressor is quick and fast. I put in about 70 psi in my front tire before I knew what was going on and quickly let the air out until I got to around 38 psi.

did putting in the 70 psi briefly do anything to my tire.they are brand new. I didn't ride it or anything ,the tire just had around 70 psi before I knew what was happening.

thanks in advance.

yea I know, pull my head out of my ***.

i dont believe it did since it was a quick in and out situation. It is my belief that when you mount tires it puts similar preasure on it for a short time while it is setting the bead similar to cars. I'm a hack so you might take someones optinion who have more technical knowledge.

No worries. You didn't hurt a thing. Tires can take a lot more pressure than even the max pressure cast into the sidewall of the tire. Had you ridden on that tire, it might have made for an interesting trip

Thanks guys, like I said it was only for less than a minute. I put some air in then checked it and my 0-60 psi gauge was totally maxed so I knew what I had did then let out the air until it was at 38 psi .
