Color of your lid.

RE: Color of your lid.
From my personal experience the helmet color makes a sizeable difference. I have a black shorty that feels hot in the TX heat (and it wears me out). I got a white HJC 1/2 helmet and it is much better. That's just subjective experience, but there it is.

At speed I don't think either color will be better over the other, but when sitting at a traffic light with the engine hear boiling up around ya, color of the helmet won't matter there either. Wear a doo-rag so ya don't get you helmet lining soaked with your gord juice.

I don't know about a temperature difference, but a white helmet will be seen by cagerseasier than a black one.

I would prefer black, but gotta stay with white for safety. From kayaking we've found that the brain bucket, for best visibility, needs to be white, yellow or dayglo... well, THAT was an easy decision!!
