Default Advice on Maryland state inspection?

I've been calling around all over the place and most MD inspection stations will not inspect a motorcycle. I know I can take it to a Harley dealer, but the bike is a 97 and I don't want to get fleeced. Do you guys have any suggestions of where to take it where I won't get hassled?

Thanks.

Alabama! I moved here from Bethesda in 78 and haven't looked back. I wouldn't move back with a gun to my head. Seriously, move south!

I don't know about MD but MA had dedicated MC inspection facilities. Usually most independent MC repair shops.

Try Used Bike Emporium in Hanover. That's where Old Glory took mine to get inspected back when I lived in Laurel.

My best friend lives in Frederick and tells me nightmares about life in Maryland (guns, taxes etc). I was based there for two years but being a non resident I didn't feel much pain. There's got to be someone there that inspects them other than a dealer.

Try Jackman's Custom Cycles in Frederick. If Jerry doesn't do it, he probably knows who to call.

i don't know about md, but here in la, it doesn't matter where you get the inspection done, the inspector can only charge $10 (or $20 if you get the 2 year option)

In Maryland, are bikes like cages, you only have to have them inspected when title and registration changes hands?
