Locking your bike ?
When traveling and sleeping outside, are you locking your bike with something else than the handle bar lock?
If you lock it, what are you using ? brake lock... chain... cable ?

For long term parking (overnight or all-day) I usually use a cable lock connecting multiple bikes...or my bike to something else if possible. Chains are easy to cut with cheap cutters...unless you buy a monster chain that weighs 30 pounds and is a pain to carry. Short term...just the fork lock for me.
Four guys can have your bike on a landscape trailer in 20 seconds (I won't describe how). If you're using a disc lock or fork lock keep your insurance paid up...or park very selectively...and have an alternate way to get home.
I rode with a guy years ago who always got a ground floor motel (not hotel) room. He parked his bike on the sidewalk in front of the room's window. Then he used a piece of fishing line and ran it from his handle bar, through the window, and tied it around an empty beer can on the table in the room. Poor man's alarm...

When I have to park overnight somewhere, I back up to some solid pole and put a Kryptonite Hardwire cable lock through the back wheel and around the pole. Then I attach a Xena disk alarm lock to the front disk.

I have to admit that I don't hardly ever lock either of my bikes when away from my house. I had a friend who was a SEAL stationed with me in Norfolk and they broke into his house and stole his Springer that was chained to a vertical steel pole in his garage. I've always been of the opinion that if they want it bad enough they're going to get it. I realize by not locking stuff it makes it easier for them I guess it's just a choice.
I've been to Sturgis, Myrtle Beach, Daytona and countless swap meets, bike nights, dive bars etc and have never had my sh*t tampered with, maybe my day is coming.

I have a giant American padlock that fits through the holes in the rear rotor. Haven't used it yet though.

I heard a rumor some riders can make their bike fit through the door of a Motel 6.
Probably not a bagger though.
