Red face 2010 Ultra Limited Rear shocks

Hi all my name is Laurie and I would like to know what people think of the original rear air shocks on the 2010 ultra limited. I have a pair of founales on mine which were on it when i purchased the bike second hand and they are very hard and the special pumps are expensive, if I can get some original shocks I would like to try them, the Harley dealer reckons the originals are fine and very few people change them. I am in Mandurah Western Australia. Any info would be helpful or if someone has a pair of original shock would like to hear from you.

The stock shocks on my 2011 were only fair at best. That is why I replaced them with Ohlin 3-3s. All dealer's say that HD stuff is always the best. They are dealers, it is what they do.

While I don't know about your shocks, my Ohlins are fully adjustable. Have you checked to see if your shocks are adjustable?

It sounds like you might want to try letting some air out of your shocks. The more air, the harder the ride. Less air will give you a softer ride.

I have a 2010 Ultra, the stock shocks are weird in that they are a little soft, but still are harsh on small sharp bumps. I have heard that the hand adjustable premium shocks from Harley are an upgrade, no air to keep track of. I have also heard that several people have had trouble with an oil leak on the stock shocks, I did as well. Look on eBay for some take off standard length air or hand adjust premium shocks. If you get the air shocks and don't have the OEM airlines on the bike, you still need to get/find them.
