Mowing grass. I really hate it. Even more since it was 90 degrees today the first day you could ride really comfy with just a T'shirt.
I got paged out to work this morning when it was still cool. But the yard was due for the first mowing of the year, past due really.
So, I bit the bullet. Got the mower out and started mowing. Now I live in the country not the city so I have a fairly large yard, with a 54 inch cut it takes me a couple of hours to do just the front yard which sux (wish I had a town house with just a strip of grass...lol)
Anyway as I got through about 4:00pm I was all ready to ride. Then the wife comes home and says she's gonna cook for me.
She's holding supper and I head out south on hwy 23 to Lumber City, Ga, Then it's west on 117 to Jacksonville, Ga . Then on through the traffic light to Rhine still on 117 heading on back to the house in Eastman, Ga and racked up another 100 miles or so.
It was a good day after all, Hope yours was too! Ride often , Ride long but mostly just ride safe out there.

Waaahh! It's 90 degrees and I have to mow my lawn! I might see my lawn in a couple weeks. Just kidding. I'm glad some people are getting good weather. It's getting warmer here, but raining. That is good though, because it will wash the salt off the roads.

 

You will be riding soon, Spring is upon us. Hope you will have a long season for it.

 

My lawn is small. It takes 10 minutes front, 20 back and I still hate it.
Anywhere the fresh grass touches me, I get bumps and itch bad. More than Benadryl can help with.

I'd get a gardener, but I bought a $500 lawn mower in a moment of Tim Allen inspired shopping and I can't justify paying for a gardener now.

Sooooooooo... my lawn is about 12" high in the back and about 6" high in the front. I guess I know what I'll be doing soon.

 

Yeah, I had that problem too. I killed it and threw down dirt and plan to cover that with rock. Gave away my mower.

Ok, coming from a city in the tropics of Queensland, this may sound silly, but how does snow put salt on the road?

 

Salt is spread on the roads to keep melt the ice.

 

I guess I'm the weird one, I love cutting the grass. I have a big lot at the cottage, and the first thing I do when I get there on Fridays is get out the tractor and cut for a couple of hours. At home the lot is small, so even if Ispend an hour the yard looks perfect.

 

I use to have a lawn and landscape business, I hate mowing my own yard.[:@]
