the best place to learn about tents is e bay You can find nice 3 season tents go to wally world and pick one up , went with a time out pull trailer after some experance with tent camping.This is typical tenting here.

if it dosent rain when you camp then something from wal-mart is a good choice, if you are looking for all weather tents then i would recommend a bit nicer tent. i had a walmart bought tent 2 years ago in laconia. rained almost 7 days straight and poured at night. i hated waking up surrounded by water so afterwards i splurged and got a North Face Rock 22. not a drop of water and very ventilated.
