I bought a WG in Feb. Comparison shopped on cycletrader.com and asked for dealer match. $1000 under MSRP. Just searched again, and there are no $1000 under MSRP on there now that it is Spring.

I've had my Fat Boy a month now. The only thing you will get right now is 10% off accessories.

I bought my bike used form the dealer last summer (late). They "threw in" 3- t shirts and 20% off any accessories on day of purchase. But probably a higher profit margin on a used bike.

I don't think it's going to work but I wish you luck! Let us know how it turns out.

I had the freight charges knocked off, and had the first two services (1000 and 5000 mile) services included in the price. I felt pretty good about that. Then, they gave us two t-shirts (since we bought two bikes) of our choice. I paid MSRP of course, but if you go into it like a car dealership (ability to seriously haggle price), you will be dissapointed. These bikes do sell themselves to a degree, and our dealership had no leftovers (that I was interested in anyway) for me to choose from. The price differential isn't enough anyway to have swayed me into an 88 5 speed, when the 96 6 speed is available. JMO.
