Meanwhile...100 dealers later.....1000 dollars in gas.....3 months of riding time.......you end up buying the bike for about the same price as you started. Whatever floats your boat.

Bad time of yeat to bargain, maybe the end of the month will help so they can make another sale before the new month starts.

I mean will anything come about if you bargain? Who knows. But it never hurts to try.

The bottom line is,some dealers deal and some dont. It's best to do your homework before giving anyone the cash. I bought mine a year ago. While checking prices at dealers, one dealer told me that if I dont buy it someone else will.
I was was able to get $500 off MSRP and 15% off accesories because my father inlaw sent me to the saleman that sold him his roadking classic.

I think every dealer gives 15% off accessories.......when I was looking for my train they all offered it without me even asking.

500 bucks off MSRP doesn't hurt but I sure wouldn't waste time shopping from dealer to dealer wasting my time and gas to save 500 bucks...but that's just me.

I bought my previous bikes at msrp (sportster and deluxe) and thought that was the way it was always gonna be. I bought my 07 train for 1500 below msrp.
it doesn't hurt to try and it does not take three months to negotiate. You can nogotiate over one weekend. If they wont budge they won't budge but at least you tried. That 1500 I saved bought me a lot of accessories.

ps... The bike was intially advertised for 1000 below msrp, I got an extra 500 off by telling them I would buy the 7 year extended warranty. They took the bait....
Three months later I returned my extended warranty for a full refund.

I pick up my bike Monday. She told me on the phone that I would get freebies from around the store. I really want this new Harley leather jacket for $450. Hopefully I will get a little discount on that.
