Default anyone have dimpled and drilled bars laying around

no, i'm not looking to buy, i need some measurements. i'm making my own bars, and i need to know how long the dimples are, and how far they are from the end of the bars. same with the holes pre-drilled for wiring. can anyone help me out? maybe with some pictures for reference. thanks!

Here you go from one end to the exit hole for wires is 6 1/2 inches(to end of hole) hole is about 1 1/2 inch long

bottom is about 1ft long with knurls at 4-5inch and 7 1/4-8 1/4 making the knurl an inch long

the bottom "enter" internal wiring hole is about 1 1/2 inch long

At the middle of the bars the stretch out about 14 inches

And end to end looks to be about 32 or 33 inches

hope this helps

JMummary...

You would have made a great 'Railroad Machinist', (they use tolerances of 'about 1-2 inches' also)! Good thing you included pics of the tape measure, so the OP could actually get the measurement him/herself... Just sayin...

True story:
Whenever I ask my wife to take a measurement, she gives me something like "6 inches and almost 3 little bloopy things."

thanks man, much appreciated info! i guess if the exit hole is long enough i don't need dimples, is that a correct assumption?

sounds good to me...

Dimples would be difficult anyway. Be sure to sand the edges, and maybe put some extra heat shrink over the wires where they pass through the hole. Don't forget the pics, we gotta scrutinize yer work (just for quality assurance), ya know?

JMummery, I'm glad you took that as it was intended. Laughter is indeed the best medicine. You'll have plenty of opportunity to get a chuckle out of something I say/do soon, I'm sure!
