Anyone had any luck spray painting front forks

I have had pretty good luck with appliance epoxy, it will run very easy tho, so do multiple light coats and make sure you clean everything I did my front end about a year ago and still looks great, won't compare to powder coat but it will do the trick for someone on a budget

Make sure bike is on a jack (to extend forks). MASK OFF EVERYTHING GOOD!! Use a real fine sand paper to clean lowers & use at least 6 light coats. Take your time. As stated before, appliance paint works well. Picked up a '93 that had been under a tarp in Fla. for 8 years. The lowers were shot but with a little work, they look great now.

Did my XLCH with a rattle can. Silver matched the aluminum cast pretty good. If they get rock chips, I just sand and re do. Look like new.

I know Plasti Dip is a good option that has worked well on forks. Easy to touch up. Just peel it off if you don't want it any more.

I used engine block paint and it looked good, but chipped a lot. I hear that the appliance epoxy is the way to go. Here's a link that looks pretty good: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...ower-legs.html
