Default Riding Gear

I am looking to purchase some riding gear and I was wondering what most of us Harley riders wear? The perception of the Harley garb is the half helmet, engineering boots, chaps and black leather jacket, so far I have all the gear with the exception of chaps and engineering boots. Is there a good place to order engineering boots? I dont think I am ready for the chaps.

I would suggest just a good 8 inch boot or something that has good support and covers your ankle. Style may be more a matter or personal choice

Half Helmet with a 3/4 face sheild

Clear safety glasses

Black Lamb/Leather jacket with patches

1968 Harley Davidson leather riding Gloves

Levi jeans

Full calve riding boots

A major credit card and a attitude.

You have the right stuff so far. You can get the boots from Harley as well as the chaps. You will learn to appreciate the chaps. You can probably find the boots and chaps cheaper somewhere else but I have been very pleased with the Harley gear I have. My chaps are some off brand but I did buy them at the Harley dealer. You will also appreciate some eye protection. Good luck/ride safe.

I forgot to mention that, if you don't already have it, you will also need a Harley.
