Default Going to service the bike....have no idea what type of oil is in it currently

As the title indicates I'm getting ready to service the engine, trans, and primary. The only problem is I bought the bike used and have no idea whether the bike has synthetic or standard oil in it.

Now I know that all the oil does not drain out of the bike when the oil is dropped. What will be the outcome if two different types of oil get mixed?

Is there any way to tell visually whether its synthetic or not?

No problems going from dino to synthetic, put in the Amsoil and get out on the road.

It really does not matter whatwas in it. The important part is what you put in it.

Yeah you can change out and put synthetics in with no worries. I'vetried Amsoil,Mobil 1 and Syn3 20w50 in all 3 holes and don't really notice any difference between them. I just changed my fluids today and put Mobil 1 75/90 synthetic in the tranny as suggested on this forum and I immediatley noticed how much smoother it shifts and nuetral is so much easier to get than when I had 20w50 in it. Try it, you'll like it alot better.
