RE: Harley Dealership Owner who still Wrenches
I work part time at my local HD and the woman who actually owns it is on site all the time and works in her office and sometimes helps out at the parts counter, the husband sells bikes and the daughter works in the office as a promotional something or other, and she is marrying one of the mechanics

Fosters HD in Tuscumbia ALabama. Harold Foster is the head wrench in the shop. I think a couple of his sons work in the shop as well, and his daughters work in the dealership too. It amazes me that a family can work together without killing each other.

Must be a small dealership, cant imagine running a decent sized dealership and having the time to wrench, unless someone else did all of the administrative work.

Bobby's Territorial Harley is not small. They just opened up a new 20,000 square foot dealership off Interstate 8 in Yuma. The dealership has always been owned by mechanics. Jim Siemens owned it prior to Bobby and he wrenched until he sold the shop to Bobby in 2002. In fact Bobby learned his craft under Jim when Bobby started hanging around Jim's Harley in 1971. I think its pretty cool that in this day and age there is still a Harley dealership owned by a guy who has his name on his shirt just like all the other mechanics.

Wonder if Bruce Rossmeyer wrenches at his dealerships? Just saw him on a Geico commercial...

He did a mild 95 build on my bike and so far, I've been very impressed (performance wise and cost wise).
He's also owned the franchise in these parts for as long as I can remember, at least 40 years....
