Winter mod
Hey I am going to do a winter mod here in the next month or so and my question is; can i put a 18in wheel up front and leave a new 16in rim in the back? I have a 2013 limited and was thinking of the Harley Anarchy rim. Not sure if it's wise to go 18 all the way around or will it look off with the 18 up front and 16 in the rear. Also anybody know what it weighs? Surdyke ships free if its under 20lbs, other then that it looks as its gonna be $50 a rim to ship...... Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Yours come with 17/16...FLHX comes with 18/16. Shouldn't be an issue at all. The only thing that might look off is having a different rim on the front than the back.
EDIT: Just noticed the weight question. When I had my new rear rim and tire sent it was around 50 lbs. That was 17".

With a 1 or 2 inch change in rim diameter you can usually compensate in part or in whole with a change in the aspect ratio of your tires to maintain your original bike measurements (trail, steering rake, axle height, etc.). So if you're going from 17" to 18" up front, going with a lower aspect ratio on the new tire from the tire you have on there now will help trim off that inch change in height.
Going from 16 to 18 in the back is a bit more of a change. 18 all around and you don't have to worry about changing measurements so much as gear ratios and that sort of thing (1 RPM on a 16" wheel isn't the same as an RPM on an 18). It can also effect the lean of your bike on its kickstand. When I lowered my bike through some mods I came to find my bike then stood almost straight up with the kickstand down, so I had to modify that too. Moving up you might have the opposite issue.

18" fitment
You wont notice much change at all. Keep it 18-16 and the handling won't fall off at all. Might have to watch tire Clearance. I went from 16 to 18 on the front and had to go to a lower profile tire to fitt under the stock fender. It does look better.....

Yeah, I think the 18 front/16 rear will look fine. I'm actually going with the same 18/16 set up myself after I swap out my forks for a springer.
I think 18/18 will make it look too tall and a little odd with a normal front width. I was going to go 16/16 on my bike at one point with the front being a 3 or 3.5" wide rim to match the rear and give it more of that old WLD look, but I can't see it looking as good with 18s. Just my opinion, though.

Figured as much, I'll go with a lower profile just in case. I'll go to the stealer and see what they recommend.
