There is a guy here on the Forums that refoams the seat and thats where my Dyna seat is right now. meancitycycles.com I think. He is here on the forum too. Does great work more than reasonably. Maybe worth checking with him first and save ya some $$ for other trinkets.

Is that a Classic, or a Custom. A detatchable backrest will make all the difference in the world!

Most will say " get a new seat" and that may be your best option. However, when my bike was new the riders seat was terrible, I hated it.I was planning on a new seat, but the seat seemed to "break in" and is much better than it started out.I stiil have it and it seemsto improve with the miles. My buddys roadking did the same thing,so maybe a seat needs break in time.

My GF had thesame problem, she couldn't ride more than 50 miles without her butt burning. I tried different pillionswith the same results. I came to the conclusion that it isn't the seat but the lack of leg room and positions. Sitting on a comfyseat without having anyfoot position options would burn my butt too.

I just dropped a load of cash on a Corbin because after 50 miles, my wife was riding on the seat rail. My bike is 25 years old, but I have a 3 year old Road King seat. We tried several, but found that the firmness was actually better. You can shift and the pressure points change, with a softer seat, it does not... just my two cents

I rode about 45k miles on my stock Road King Classic seat. For long trips, I bought one of Harley's sheepskin covers for the stock seat. It is black sheepskin on the top and vinyl on the sides. It fits like a glove. We used on long trips and then took it off when we go there.

After switching to hard bags, I swapped to a leather low profile HD seat. We sure missed that sheepskin on the long trips, so I bought a black sheepskin off of eBay and trimmed it to fit the contour of the seat. I cut a slit in it so my backrest would fit thru. We sit on that on the 300-700 mile days that we sometimes do. It may not look stylish at the gas pump, but it sure feels good going down the road.

I know that sheepskin or sheepskin covers conjurs up the image of somebody's grandpa on a Goldwing, but that doesn't have to be so with a Road King. This is what she looks like on the trip and what she looks like when we get there....

Mustang seat fixed the same problem with my wife and daughter's complaining.

I bought the Mustang Wide Vintage Solo, with the passenger pillion. The passenger seat looks like a police bike front seat!!

The look is not to cool with the wide Mustang, but in order for the passsenger to be happy I use it for any two up riding. I go back to my Corbin Hollywood Solo seat when I ride alone.
