I originaly went from a 96 to a 103 with head work. Now that it's time for another rebuild I decided to have the bottom end done first. Turns out my sproket shaft was too far out and I need a new crank. So if I have to put a new crank in it anyway no reason not to put a bigger crank in right. So the 4 3/8" crank becomes a 4 5/8" and what was going to be a 117" build just went to a 124".

Mark me down for a S&S 124 too.
It's as cheap or cheaper than rebuilding if you use harley shop for rebuild

No. They're not. It's done in the Product Development facility in Wauwatosa. The engines are remanufactured to original factory specs. The rods on an S&S are about twice the heft of stock Harley rods.

Plus, if you do that, you can sell the original motor and offset more of the cost.

When I upgraded mine I was planning on doing a 107", but I ended up getting a good deal on a 103" kit in the classified here, so I went that route.

Neither. I am of the school of thought that if you tear into your motor with any mods other than a stage 1 or race tune, the reliability decreases in proportion to the size of the build. 96" will take me anywhere. Won't compromise my reliability to get there a little bit sooner. I'd rather use the $$ for other upgrades that don't compromise reliability.

If I ever wanna go fast, I'll do it the RIGHT way & get a Boss Hoss. NOW you're talking FAST!!

i did the basic fuelmoto 107 upgrade on my 2010. ended up with 98hp/124 tq. that sure was fun

have a 110 now with just a basic stage 1. not near as quick as my 107 was, but i'm keeping this one 'safe' in order to stay with the esp.
