Softail fuel pump and fuel lines
I just finished pulling the fuel pump assembly out of the tank on my '01 softail standard. That's a story in itself. I noticed that the fuel line going from the regulator/fuel filter assembly to the quick connect fitting on the outside of the tank is rubbing on the tank and wearing. Sooner or later this is gonna wear thru and the system and will lose pressure with all the nasty consequences that follow. Don't ask how I know.
Apparently the replacement part includes the hose and the quick connect fitting and is $100+ here. Can you buy just the hose somewhere and avoid the expense.
I'm think I'm going to split the old hose and wrap it around the new one to protect it from rubbing and prolong it's life unless you guys tell me that's a bad idea.

Had a similar issue with my 01 FB. Picked up Barricade Carb hose, 5/16 X 2', by Gates (part#27304) and some self tensioning clamps online for ~$40 total online. A simple repair has turned into new tins, and a winter rebuild, but it should do the job.
The hose needs to be submersible, and the clamps self tensioning from what I understand. Walbro and NAPA supposedly have similar products.

+ 2 on ynots suggestion. Used that hose on my '05 Dyna about five years ago and haven't had any problems (with fuel delivery) since.
