My friend had an AMF two stroke Harley, it spent more time in the shop
than on the street, or in the dirt. At that time I sure was glad that I had
a Honda. Times sure have changed.

6gun, I had several, like I said above. Never had any problems out of any of them. Just outgrew them. And, they were pretty quick. Never lost a race to any other make of the same displacement.

I think this is great you (or friend) found this bike.

What's its value? $1000 perhaps if running and looking good yet other members may add more precise values.

FWIW I'd restore it to running condition and get it registered.
Then evaluate paint, chrome and scuffs.
Yes, I also write more fun vs. value.

The closer to stock, original, unmolested, parts all there, the better.
Bikes like this are equipped with "parts unobtainium". Look for a "clean up" and "make run" bike.
I have a '72 Honda Trail 90 with similar goals.

right and when it ran it ran like a scalded ape, It just didn't
do it very often. I was in the seventh grade and he was in
the eighth and nether one of was a master mind on bike
repair. LOL

There's always a lemon somewhere. Had a buddy that bought a 1975 175sx that looked just like my '74. Yet mine was quite a bit faster than his. May be just the way I broke mine in. I always broke my bikes in hard. I wasn't that great a mechanic either back then. But I did more to those bikes than I have the nerve to try doing to my current one. LOL
