Glasses or Goggles

RE: Glasses or Goggles
I can't say either way about goggles. But, I've been using a pair of PanOptix glasses and I've been happy with them. The foam ring around the lenses does a really good job of keeping wind and dust out of your eyes. I found out very early that regular sunglasses just don't cut it. I honestly don't know how some guys get by with them. My eyes just watered like crazy from the wind.
p.s. The PanOptix are gawd awful expensive. I'm sure there are less expensive glasses to be found. But I have noticed that most of the cheaper brands don't use the same type of foam to seal out wind and dust and I'm a bit pesimistic about how well the harder foam with small grooves every 1/4 inch or so around the circumference of the lense would perform.

I always liked glasses until my vision started going and I began wearing contacts. After having the contacts blown around in my eyes and actually losing several, I tried goggles. The goggles work great and are comfortable. I do not use a specific brand. I usually pick up an inexpensive pair at a bike rally such as Sturgis.

I have contacts also and I wear the Panoptyx glasses, unless it is raining then I use goggles. If it is raining hard enough the water gets inside the Panotyx cups.

I wear the $20.00 Harley glasses with foam around the lenses to keep out the wind and dust. I wear contacts and never have a problem with them all year round.

I tell ya what glasses when it is warm and around town are great, but getting out on the interstate or when it is cold out,the only way to go is goggles in my opinion. I dont leave home without them at least tucked away in my vest.
