Default Bike cleaners

Hey
We just recently got a couple Harley's Mine 08 ultra hers 2012 sporty. I'm looking for some ideas on cleaning. Harley sells all kinds Of cleaning kits
But they are pretty proud of them. In the past I have tried several different waxes. And i usually waxed once or twice a year then used wax based furniture polish after each wash. I m really like the mothers chrome polish.
I have never used any type of quick wash or spray cleaner. Does anyone use these? Like these? Or have a preference to any certain brands or types?
Or are they just a wast of money!
Also windshield cleaners?

I like quick detailer for a light cleaning. Bucket wash for when things get real dirty. I've used quick detailer (Meguires or Griots) for years on my bikes. The Street Glide seems to have more surface area and I've started using Griots waterless car wash...sorta like detailer but you use more of it. It seems to work fine.

Wax wise, always had good luck with Meguires Cleaner/wax. It gets all those little bug spots and tar bits the wash seems to miss. Good rule of thumb: harder it is to put on/take off, the better it holds up! I've also found a good hand glaze works nicely on black paint...which seems to show little swirls and scratches.

For windshields, I found that a clean soft cotton cloth is critical...no Windex, no paper towels, no synthetic fabric t-shirts, no gas station squeegees!

For quick detailing I use Meguiars Quick Detailer in a black bottle, use another Meguiars also for a good waxing. For when it needs a good washing I spray her down first with S100 then bucket wash with a mitt then take my leaf blower and blow dry as soon done rinsing. I have heard most people use a small electric blower but I just use my gas blower and have never had an issue yet.

Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax for washing, Megiar's Carnaba + wax for waxing, Meguiar's quick detailer for touch-ups.

Use all this on my windshield as well & it works perfect.

Only usually do a full wash, wax & detail about 3 times/year, but just wash a little more often & clean the windshield fairly often. If you keep a good wax on the windshield, usually just a damp microfiber towel will clean the it perfectly in 3 minutes without using anything else....bugs will wipe right off. Never left even a micro scratch.

Always use microfiber towels for everything....forget about everything else.

After I wash, I blow dry with my Echo gas powered blower...works very well.

Hey badsarge,
I've used S100 spray on cleaner on my Softail Custom for the last 20 years and it still looks as good as new!

Show Time spray, makes the bike look new time after time after time. Hard to find but if you do worth the money

Something else for a quick shine on the chrome is to use windex. Had someone tell me that and started using it and works like a charm.
