I also use either Mother's or Meguire's Quick Detail spray for light clean ups. For wax, I use Pinnacle Liquid Souveran carnuba wax. I use the same thing on my wife's black car and it shines great. Bugs and other crud wipes right off too.

After a polish the chrome (if needed), I put a coat of wax on the chrome too. Gives a super shine and some protection. I've found it protects pretty well. Windex does work well, but will remove any wax, etc due to the ammonia.

I use the same products (mostly Pinnacle) on the bike as I do on everything else in the garage. Quality products does make the difference. Spend a little extra and get decent micro fiber towels, good application pads, and good sponges/brushes.

I use Purple Slice before every ride. I live on a rural gravel road and this stuff works great for a quick cleaning after using a California Duster. Works on Paint, glass and chrome.

I give a good wash with a car wash solution, blow dry, and wax the paint and polish the chrome. For quick cleaning, I give a *****'s bath with Purple Slice and use Mequire's plastic polish for the windshield.

Turtle Wax "Ice", no wax residue and shines like new with very little effort. Novus II for the windshield. It will remove swirl marks if you have any on your windshield. Fast and easy!

Mr Moto (pink) from Cycle Gear works for me. You can even dilute it 50/50 with water if a lot of grease isn't on the bike.

I have used S100, it works great. Expensive. Shout, yep the kind you spray on your stained clothes, works the same as S100. Spray it on, spray it off.

I never thought I'd say it, but walgreens brand 'nice' lemon furniture polish (like the old lemon pledge) does an amazing job on my black paint. Not a substitute for a good wash and wax, but a good quick shine. When I get serious, I'm really digging the turtle wax black box stuff...

I'm new, but I'm only seeing one thread in the detailing section. Are my settings messed up or is that all there is?

here's a link of a lot of products with reviews to them, its the best see all in ONE page that I've found over the years to help pick what to use/ where on your bike.

enjoy.

Look down under the thread list when you enter the forum. There is a setting to display threads from different dates all the way back to the beginning.
