Sold my Cage
As of 10am tomorrow morning I'm back to 100% biker. Car is off to the second hand lot. Don't know that I'm doing the right thing but something has to go as I'm skint, and it certainly isn't going to be my bike!
Anyone else only have their bike for transport??

I did that for several years in my 20's when I was single. I couldn't do it now. I just can't see how my Sporty could haul me, my wife and the kids.
Now, if it's just me, unless it's obscenely ugly outside, it's me and one of my bikes.

I only have my Road King as personal transportation. I ride to work, to the store, everywhere.
That was one of the reasons I went with a Road King it was the only bike in Harley's lineup that would haul me, my GF and our luggage over the horizon as well as getting the groceries.

Did it for a couple years many years ago. My bike bike is my main ride, but I have a truck if I need it. Given the same option as you, I'd keep the bike.

Nothing wrong with selling the cage. I ride my bike for about 80 percent of my transport, both my commute and my daily life. It helps to live in a place with fair weather.
Alas, at 44 and about to get married, I just can't sell the cage. Unless I replace it with another cage. I don't enjoy riding in the occasional heavy rain and colder temps we have here. Just getting older, I suppose. And sometimes you just need to transport domestic stuff you can't on your bike.
Not that I haven't tried. I know for example, I can hold exactly 6 rolls of toilet paper in my swingarm bag. As long as I'm willing to smush a few rolls. haha.
Enjoy your cage free days. They will give you some great stories to tell. You did right keeping the bike.

Freezing Fog here at the moment, and I can't get back to my Spanish hide away due to lack of money, but my UK place is in the town so I can walk to get groceries and stuff, so I can do without the car.
Haven't lived like this since I was a kid. I'll be laughing when it's spring and I'm riding along in the sunshine.

I can ride most of the year for the most part. Not this week so far. But, with single digit temperatures here, and needing to haul things or go to the store, etc I have to have a cage of some sort. But, I will ride at all costs if I can.
