I work for a twp and those bike get bet up good . They have many different riders / cops putting endless hard miles on them. So if you can't get it cheep like for $6000 with 30,000 mile on it. Just pass on it.

They have an auction in Tampa once a month called Tampa Machinery Auction. They usually have all kinds of city/state vehicles including bikes I have seen several used police road kings go pretty cheap. They have a website to view the listings beforehand and it is open to the public.

 

Dont want to argue however i am retired police and it was my experiencee with our department that those bikes got the best of maintenance and service and was assigned to one officer until taken out of service. If it so much as sprinkled or there was a threat of rain, those bikes stayed at home. So check with where it came from, you may be getting a steal.
