Motorcycle Blues by Jesse Colin Young
Loved this song way back in the day. Has anyone here ever heard it?
MOTORCYCLE BLUES (JesseColin Young) 1974
I see you sitting inmy driveway shining in the sun
well I polished upyour chrome
and your valves havejust been done
then I get thisfunny feeling I’d like to take a ride on you
Lord that’s when youget my, get those motorcycles blues
Ah your spark plugsare new mama and your wiring too
But your points arecorroded and your alternator won’t be true
You make me so damnmad, lord I don’t know what to do
You give me motolotacycle, motorcyle blues
If I want to take aride with my lady by my side
watch the greenery,scenery flashin’ by
just when I begin togroove, I’ve got to stop
at my localmotorcycle shop
You ride a Triumphor a Honda or a great big greasy Harley too
Or a Cushman motorscooter built in 1952
No matter whatyou’re ridin’ son,
it’s bound to make afool out of you
And give youmotolota cycle, motorcycle blues

I am thinking that most folks on this forum were not even born in '74
Always liked Jesse Colin Young. Don't recall that one but a couple of my favorites from him were The Peace Song and Before You Came.

Thanks for bringing that back. Saw him in concert Philly in '68 (maybe '69) and it was a few years until he released that song but I remember listening to it a lot.

Saw him play in London in 74 here is the full line up. Sigh, they don't do concerts this good these days.
