BUGS!

RE: BUGS!
Yesterday I was riding in Delaware on a country road and a large bug hit me on the cheek, the wind was keeping it against my face and I could feel it buzzing. I brushed it off my face with my glove, next thing I knew I was feeling a stinging on my chest. I knew it was a bee at this point and thought that it went down in my shirt. I was grabbing at my shirt to get hold of it and looked down and saw that it was in my glove, so I just threw it off. I was a darn hornet, and I thought bee's could only sting once. Well this sucker let me have it multiple times. I had about 60 miles to go before getting home, then put an ice bag on it. Still swollen this morning.

RE: BUGS!
I always enjoy hitting the big bug "clouds". Within a few seconds, you're covered with them. But...those single bees, beetles, etc. are the one's I dread - they're big and they hit you real hard. I've always had shields on my helmets and I'm glad I do when I hear those bad boys bounce off the plastic.
I don't know if anyone has tried it, but the Harley shop gave a me a sample kit of cleaning products and in it was a bug cleaner. This stuff works better than anything I've ever tried. The bugs can be dry and it takes them off like acid. You just spray this stuff on a rag and wipe them right off. I'd love to know who makes it for them so I don't have to pay the big mark-up.
