I am the only one that's paranoid about sitting on bike for too long when kickstand is down? Always fill like I'll topple over at any second haha

Not me. But I do have this irrational thing where I am constantly making sure the jiffy stand is stable under the bike. I feel like maybe I didn't extend it all the way or something and always double check.

I guess I'll be glad I do that someday. But so far, every time I check, the stand is where it should be. haha.

I'm with the OP on this one. It's worth checking, double-checking & even triple-checking that jiffy stand when you compare to what could happen if you don't

Based on your user name, I wouldn't be sitting on anything that isn't properly reinforced. And this would include the jiffy/kickstand.

have someone hold you bike up and swing it down, check out the locking pin and how it works ... you'll feel better

While I don't normally sit on the bike for any real length of time with the side stand down, I will say Harley is the only brand of bike I've owned that didn't fall over due to its side stand design.

I fact, with its locking feature, it seems to be very stable even when angled downhill.

Of course as suggested above, I treat the side stand bolts as critical fasteners and check them once in a while.
