Default Bike Week Claims 8th Fatality

Bike Week Claims 8th Fatality - A 19-year-old motorcyclist who died this week following a weekend crash is being classified as the eighth Bike Week fatality, police said today.

Hopefully, this will be the last one. We're still about 1/3 of what we had last year!

Yeah, 8 is still too high. But when you get 500,000 bikers in one place over the course of a week you're gonna get some fatalities. Those people that are looking for anything to justify mandating helmets just lost a big one with this year's numbers.

But still, 1 is too many and you're never gonna stop it. We can only hope that those numbers stay low. 21 last year was just horrible!

What were the car fatalities? How about buses? Train wrecks? Airplanes? BOATS? Useless drivel IMHO. Ain't baggin on ya...just stating the facts.

No, I agree with you. It'd also be interesting to find out what the stats are for non-rally weeks.

I consider 8 a victory! Last year, we had 21 and the helmet mandate fans were out in droves!
