Female Service Managers?

RE: Female Service Managers?
I would like to see more of them, meaning less clothing not more often. I would also like to see more female Urologist, please don't ask why. The old saying: If I have to explain you wouldn't understand. Just a little levity gals, you know I love and respect each and every one of you.

Oh wow, this is gonna get ugly fast I'm thinkin'.
Just remember, it's 2007 not 1807...women are allowed out of the kitchen once in a while
For a serious answer, no, none of the HD shops I go to have female service managers. If they did it wouldn't bother me in a the least as long as she knew the product/parts sufficient to do her job. Then again I require that of the male service managers, knowledge of product/parts. If they don't know I don't come back, fairly simple math.
Wolf, somebody needs to hide Kirby's chair<g>

No for me. Every woman I have worked with, in different fields, has been sub-standard, and use their charm or good looks to get over, to keep their job. This is a male dominated sport/hobby/lifestyle. I will not take my bike to any dealer that lets the "cutie pie" run the service department. Right or wrong, that's my opinion, and I know I speak for many who don't have the ***** to say so!

RE: Female Service Managers?
My "Stealer" has a very capable female parts/service person. She knows her shiz, makes sure you really need what you ask for and ain't afraid to tell you that you really don't need what you asked for and why. If they know their stuff, why not?
Come on guys, get them knuckles up off the ground

Harley shops Hire Eye Candy for the Motorcloths section, as long as she knows her chit, I could care less. But I would feel nervous the first time I saw a little 5 foot Betty Davis push my bike back into service, lol. I mean thats just physics. But I get nervous when people stand to close to my bike so thats nothing new, lol. We have a chick at teh parts counter and she's damn good, show her a busted bolt and 90% of the time she knows what its from.

RE: Female Service Managers?
Our HD shop doesn't have a female service manager, but they did have a female in the parts department and she knew her stuff better than most of the men.
There is a woman in town that runs an indy shop, and is a heck of a lot more knowledgable than the service manager at the local HD shop.
Thinking that a woman can't be a competent parts person, service manager, etc, is like thinking that a woman can't ride.
Regards,
Bill

RE: Female Service Managers?
Does it matter? As long as someone does their job and does it well that's all that matters.
If they are easy on the eyes it's even better.[sm=drooldude.gif]

RE: Female Service Managers?
Provided they are capable and know their stuff, I have no problems whatsoever with female service managers. Hell, based on the male service managers I've encountered, they sure as hell couldn't be any worse!
I agree with this............

I refuse to comment on the grounds.....oh, wait, thats Bill and Hilary's line. But seriously, the dealer in my town has a female service manager, dont know if she's the head (no pun intended) or assistant. She is fairly snooty, and she talks down to you like you dont know anything about wrenchin. Ibeen wrenchin on cars and bikes since 1975, one way or the other. You can tell shes not very comfortable once you start asking her more indepth questions.
If she was sh*t hot on her job, I could care less, but dont patronize me with eye candy and a few wiggles.
