yup, same here. I paid my 9.10 and I was on my way. Get this, I got a CHROME inspection sticker...is that cool or what!?!
Yeah, I gotta admit the crome colored stickers are nice. I have a small plate attached to the frame just for the sticker. I can remember when they TRIED to slap it on my forks[:@]. Musta been a biker that thought up the crome colored sticker.

No annual inspections of any kind in MT. Of course, if pulled over and vehicle isn't up to code then you mayget a tickee or a notice to get it fixed.

A decadeand more ago, the States weremorenervous about losing Fed. highway funds and other percs thusmany had inspection programs, but have since dropped them. As y'all know a number of States still do, either out of fear of Feds or for their own local reasons & politics.

PA requires an annual inspection.
$18 (pass or fail) + $2 for sticker
Got mine yesterday and was hit up for a rear tire.
Wish my stealer had a burnout pit.

Utah does the annual safety inspection. Check all the lights, signals, hornand tire wear. You can't register the bike unless you have a passed inspection. My local shop is pretty lax but all my stuff works anyway. Same guys I use for my old beat up Audi and they let all kinds of crap go on that one.

They don't even walk around anymore up here. Just take the $5.00 and give you a sticker.

Mississippi has a required annual inspection, but for motorcycles it's basically a walkaround, give the guy your $5, and be on your way. The inspection sticker is the same as for a car here....it's designed to be put on the INSIDE of the windshield, they are not waterproof. When you get it for your bike, you stick it inside your wallet or saddlebag, and forget about it. Basically a revenue producer.

Not exactly.
Texas only inspects Lights, Horn, Tires and a Functional Brake Test for motorcycles.
There is no Emission Test required even in the counties that require it for passanger vehicles.

we have had them in missouri for over 30 years now. on motorcyles they check the brakes, horn, turn signals, lights, and tires. costs around $12.00 - $15.00 and good for one to two years. got to have the offical paper before you can license.
more taxes for the state.
