Riding on grooved roads

RE: Riding on grooved roads
Someone posted sometime back about the tread on the dunlops sucking when confronted with a grooved road. We were driving on a road that had recently been milled/scarified prior to an asphalt overlay. I can tell you that when my sportster front tire hit the grooves it was a shock. I am going with the metzers when my front tire wears out. I did not notice the back wagging it's tail.

Am I missing something, is there a method to riding on this kind of surface.
Thanks for your input.

Ever get caught in center-of-the-streetrailroad/trolley track that runs parallel oralmost parallel with the road? I've seenmany atwo-wheeler go down getting caught in those. Very common back east, usually in the old sections of towns. Now seeing them more commonly in cities with trolleys. They're a realpig if you don't have time to maneuvertocross them at a more perpendicular angle.

Metzelers (M880's in my case) cured the shimmy blues instantly. Ride is like night and day from the stock Dunflops on freeway grooves.
