Default When U trade Ur bike in, do U strip it or leave the Mod on.??

I used to leave most all the bolt-on mods I added to the bike when trading in.
But now, current bike has more $$ in mods than ever before, I don't think I'd let it ALL go..

So, do U strip them down or not.??

After the deal was already done I stripped it down right in front of them. All they said was, "leave something on it so we can sell it" I did leave the seat and the air shocks on it...What are they going to do? Say no deal now?

Best deal is to sell yours outright yourself and then do a deal with your dealer.
You always take a good size hit when you trade.

The dealer is going to give you the low side of book value no matter how much extras the bike has. So I'd strip the bike of all extras and then take it to the dealer. Sell the extras on ebay.

True Lion, but Nov is not a good time to sell her in IND.. in fact with Christmas coming its bad for the seller, but good for the buyer.

This.... The stock parts are pretty much worthless but depending on what you've put on there it will have some value

Stock sells to everyone, mods sells to those who like your mods.
Some mods might even devalue a bike.

I tried to sell my sporty on craigs list with no luck. I traded it in, stripped some of the parts and sold them. With the tax advantage of a trade in in Texas I came out about the same as what I was asking for on craigs list with no annoying phone calls.

Give it a shot.
What you got to lose?
Probably less on your own than with the dealer. IMHO.
