Id only let my best friend that knows how how to ride long and hard miles, and taught me to. I'd ridden 60,000 plus miles in 5 years, he's been there for at least half. Plus, my brother is coming to visit so I'll let him ride it. He's ex motor cop so knows how to ride.
I didn't ride my bikes till they was bought , my 83 yr old.dad sat on my 97 Fatboy for a photo op.,,oh yes my 3 mth old grandson lied on seat for photo as well ! Other than that NO I think it's like a rule of thumb , even sitting on them , unless you or the own ask if you want to sit on it . Even at a HD dealer I always ask before my butt hits a seat !
