12mm->18mm o2 bung adapters?
#1
Has anyone used these to let them use an older set of pipes with the newer o2 sensors? I've got a 2014 sporty and v&h has no plans to accommodate them for the sideshots and was wondering if this would work?
I posted this in general because I see they can be used for several models with this issue.

there will be no issue doing that. make sure the tip of the sensor is still in the exhaust stream though. the little bit the adapter raises the sensor will not hurt. just make sure the adapter isn't an inch thick!

When I put Freedom Performance pipes on my scoot, this caught me off guard after I had the OEM exhaust off, and was going to put the new ones on. I noticed that the bungs were larger than the sensors. Turns out, the adapters were included in the hardware kit. Like Charlie above said, they'll pull the sensors back a little bit - about 1/16 inch, but the tip will still be in the exhaust stream in the pipes and you will have no issue.
The ones in the link you posted are very similar to the ones I used.
Enjoy the new setup!

Yep, bought a set of adapter bungs to put the V&H pipes on that are in my sig pic. It's a 2012 Deluxe with the 12mm o2 and the pipes I got on ebay for $200 that had the older (18mm) size o2. I'm loving these pipes!!!
I did have to buy an extension for the o2 cable on the front pipe because the stock o2 placement on the front pipe were down low by the timer cover...the o2 placement on both front and rear pipe on these V&H are up by the heads.
